The acquisition of American Controls, Inc. in Detroit, MI allowed us to continue growing our green space into other marketing areas that include Michigan and Northern Ohio. The synergies of Tier One product lines, expanded system design and fabrication capabilities made this an ideal fit.
The acquisition of industrial pump distributor Werner-Todd Pump Company, in Indianapolis, IN and Cincinnati, OH, allowed us to greatly grow our green space while expanding our product offering in process equipment. This increased our ability to serve the states of Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.
In order to reflect the evolution of our products and services, we reimagined our brand identity and began doing business as simply “Anderson Process” to communicate that we offer a wide range of offerings beyond pumps.

In alignment with our long-term strategic vision, the purchase of Upper Midwest Industrial Supply Co. (UMISCO) brought an extensive line of leading hose products into our product offering.
The need to clearly and succinctly communicate the nature of our product offering to new markets and new customers inspired us to do business as “Anderson Pump & Process,” a brand identity that carried us for over a decade.
The purchase of Midwest Pumps Sales Inc., based out of Carol Stream, Ill., allowed A.A. Anderson & Co. to compete south of the major Milwaukee-metro area for the first time in company history, and became the first in a series of strategic moves to become the premiere distributor of process equipment in the Midwest.
Alfred Andrew Anderson founded A.A. Anderson & Co. with the mission of providing southeast Wisconsin’s manufacturers leading pump equipment. With seven pump lines and a home-based office, the company quickly grew and moved into its first office in downtown Milwaukee just a year later.
